Today is May 1st, and it was eight years ago today, on May 1, 2011, that we received the news that Islamic terrorist leader Osama bin Laden was killed.
The brave men of our US Navy Special Operations SEAL Team had conducted a brave deep insertion raid that took his life. On this day, let us not forget the men and women who made that possible, and are still fighting the scourge of Islamic jihadism today.
Needless to say, this fight continues, as global Islamic jihad reared its ugly head just recently in Sri Lanka during Easter weekend services. We must remain steadfast, vigilant, and resolute in destroying this ages-old cancer, that now has modern technology, to advance its deranged, deadly, vile, and barbaric ideology.
The battle continues against this totalitarian theocratic-political belief system that too many dismiss. I must ask this question: will Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar join Americans, the world, in remembering this day as one where we eliminated the face of evil…the “somebody” who led the Islamic terrorist group, Al Qaeda, and planned the “somethings,” USS Cole bombing, US Embassy bombings, Khobar tower bombings, and 911 attacks, which murdered Americans and others?
