We are one week away from March 3rd, also known in presidential election cycle years as “Super Tuesday.” Many of our states will hold their primary contests to decide the all-important question of delegates apportioned, won, by the respective political party candidates. This year we will head into Super Tuesday and there is quite a bit of drama brewing on the Democrat side. Bernie Sanders, at this time, is the clear front runner for the Democrat party nomination. He has come out on top in the first three contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada…two caucuses and one primary. Some would say that is hardly an indicator of what is to come, especially since we have South Carolina this weekend, and the ensuing Super Tuesday.
Another factor going into Super Tuesday is the appearance — for the first time — of former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg on the ballot. Bloomberg was savaged in his Democrat presidential debate debut…an utter debacle. What Bloomberg has banked on, is that the Democrat party will be soooo freaked out about a Bernie Sanders presidential nomination that the Democrats will rally to him on Super Tuesday.
If there is one thing that has the Democrats rattled, spooked, and unnerved about ol’ Bernie is his avowed socialism…and his healthcare plan. “Medicare for All” will end up meaning medical care for no one, at least not what we have come to appreciate in these United States of America. Oh yeah, is healthcare a right? Nope, it is not. It is a privilege to be able to enjoy, and no one in America is refused medical care…unless you are a baby awaiting the decision of Gov. Ralph Northam, and his ilk.
The problem with socialists is that they determine that their ideological agenda is a right. You no longer have the rights which our Constitution articulates unless they coincide with the progressive socialist left’s ideological agenda. So, being armed is not a right…but having healthcare is.
The bottom line is that the left wants control, and you’re not recognized as an individual, a citizen. No, you are just part of their collective, and must be subjugated to their will, determination, their agenda.
Y’all wanna know what Bernie Sanders’ healthcare plan looks like?
As reported by LifeSiteNews:
“A majority in the lower chamber of Spain’s Congress has voted to consider a bill that would legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide in case of “clearly debilitating diseases without a cure, without a solution and which cause significant suffering.”
Spanish daily El País reported that the 350-member Congress of Deputies passed a measure on Tuesday by a vote of 201 to 140, with two abstentions. Following debate in committee, the bill would go to the Senate for a final vote. In its current form, if passed, the law would allow voluntary euthanasia as well as assisted suicide. This is the third time the bill has emerged in Congress, where its proponents hope it will be approved in June.
Assisted suicide means that a doctor prescribes lethal drugs to a patient, who then self-administers the drugs. Voluntary euthanasia can be defined as when a physician or medical professional kills a patient at the patient’s request. Both forms of killing are legal in Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and in the state of Victoria in Australia. Switzerland and some states in the U.S. allow assisted suicide.
Both forms of dealing death would be legalized by the Spanish legislation, which would allow doctors to object on the basis of conscience but require them to refer patients to doctors willing to assist in death. The bill also requires that patients not have to wait more than a month after making a request for either assisted suicide or euthanasia. After two doctors consider an initial request, patients would then make an additional request for approval by a government committee.
From the floor of Congress, Deputy José Ignacio Echániz of the Popular Party accused Spain’s socialist government on Tuesday of seeking to “save money” on care for “people who are expensive at the end of their lives.” He said, “For the Socialist Party, euthanasia is cost-saving measure.”
Echániz said the socialist government is having trouble paying for its welfare policies: “Every time one of these people with these characteristics disappears, there also disappears an economic and financial problem for the government. For each one of these people who is pushed toward death by euthanasia, the government is saving a great deal. Behind this is a leftist philosophy to avoid the social cost of an aging population in our country.” While offering legislation to improve palliative care, Echániz said it is “curious” that despite Spain’s excellent medical care, socialists are calling for euthanasia rather than “defending life until the last moment.”
In America, your first unalienable right endowed to you by our Creator is life. When we stupidly abdicate our most important right over to the government, this is the end result. The government will make the decision on life…who lives, and who dies. That is why no one should align themselves with Bernie Sanders and the socialist idea that healthcare is a right! Unless you are such a useful idiot that you would prefer them, the government, having the power to decide the issues of your life, your body, your health. Funny, this is in line with the dogma of a white supremacist and racist, who founded Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger. We should not be surprised at all that the Democrat Party embraces Sanger and her beliefs, which included euthanasia.
Never forget the two little baby boys in England, Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans, and how the British government, bureaucrats, made the decision about whether they should live or die. That is the National Health System of England, a government-run, socialized medical system. Just the same, in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, there is a group of bureaucrats called the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). The IPAB is responsible for making the pricing decisions on medical services, such as found in Medicare and Medicaid. In other words, this un-elected board of bureaucrats make the same decisions as we see happening in England and Spain…who should not receive care due to cost.
That, folks, is Bernie’s plan. That, folks, is socialized medicine. And folks, when you become too expensive, they will dictate the final options…solution. You are no longer seen as an individual, a citizen, a life…you’re just a financial estimate, budget item.
Is this really want we want in America?
All of this reminds me of the 1976 movie “Logan’s Run” starring Michael York. The year is set at 2274 and young people enjoy a rather ideal, and hedonistic, lifestyle. At the age of 30 your life signal in the palm of your hand turns color…and you are targeted for renewal. What renewal really means is that you are executed, killed. There are those within the domed city that know the truth and are branded as runners…seeking a place called sanctuary. In the end, the truth is revealed, and an old man is found, Peter Ustinov. And the young people of the domed city realize that there is nothing wrong with growing old.
It would seem that the plans of the left are to control life. They want to usurp the Judeo-Christian God, our Creator, and take that control…as to who is born and who is to die.
Think about this when you ponder Bernie Sanders becoming our president.
